Nope, he's not deaf. We're nearly certain that he is at least half Turkish Van, which is one of the only breeds of white blue-eyed cats that doesn't carry the deafness trait.
People at his vet's office always used to ask if he was deaf every time I brought him in. I'd tell them, "He can hear the rustle of a lunchmeat packet opening from across the apartment, so I'm guessing he's fine." ;)
Is Kitters deaf? White cats with blue eyes almost always are, due to some genetic mutation. Just curious.
